What Is The Trade Off For Success? PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 11 February 2010 20:38

Success is a very expansive and indescribable concept, having many diverse definitions, significance and meanings for each individual. To really accomplish success, one has to create his own concept of success.

The fact is, man negotiates all day as part of one’s struggle for success. One negotiates with his own self and with others. Subtle sometimes, overt at other times, but negotiating occurs continuously, as your every need is met, as you appeal that your goals will be met.

As negotiation progresses, often you find yourself trading off ideas and even your own values as a person just to achieve success.

Note however that success, as with all things in life is not constant and that the only tradeoff that you will ever make in order to achieve financial, emotional and spiritual success is changing your attitude, for the better, turning the negative to positive and preparing yourself for the shortcomings that will come your way.

A successful individual understands this reality clearly. One would work persistently to establish success in all areas of his.

The reality of life consists of happiness as well difficulties.  Indeed, one can not stay away from difficulties, it is part of one’s journey through success, yet you can be very well prepared for it and know how to deal with it.

Is success accomplished by trading off one’s family for great wealth? Is success attained by trading health for money? Lasting and true success is realized by generating balance in every aspect of one’s life, adding prosperity in all forms everyday on a regular basis.

No trade off should be done and no sacrifice should be made, no transferring a certain goal in exchange of another when one gets to that particular position in his life or obtains something.

Keep in mind that when one gets to that specific position or obtains that certain item, there is no other trade off, but that success has progressed.

You tradeoff your old self to a new, positive and motivated person, living each day with gusto, zeal and zest working towards your set goals.

Success is never a destination, rather it is a journey that one embarks on daily. Success is achieved through giving emphasis on the importance of one’s blessings with affirmative thoughts, actions and words.

No need to trade off, success continues to flow, to thrive and to increase.  One success should not die in exchange for another.  Success is success, in all aspects!

Here are guidelines:

1. Determine what it is you want. Remember, you have the ability to have anything that you desire in your life. When you establish more goals, then there is the possibility that you will achieve more in life. Having a clear vision enables you to have direction what route to take and you are guaranteed that you will reach that goal.

2.  Write down your goals. Write all of it down and affirm it.  Make concrete plans and pull everything in your mind. Writing your vision you enable you to pull your spiritual, physical, and emotional powers in position to accomplish your goals and vision. Your body, mind and the subconscious within will work together and attract positive forces.

3.  Establish a “time frame” for all your vision and goals. Fix a target that you need to accomplish for a certain period of time.  Set deadlines for your goals, so that there will be more possibility that you can accomplish it.  Then, after you have accomplished a certain goal, move on to the next.  This is what is meant by success that flows.

4.  Accomplishing your goal takes work in succession. Make a record of the actions that you need to do so to accomplish each goal.  Make it in such a manner that it will be easy for you to follow, such as the most important ones comes first.

5.  Examine your list of activities and make sure they are in order. Work out on a step-by-step comprehensive plan to accomplish your goal.  Never delay and accept no excuses, start on the first activity now! While you are working on an activity, do not go ahead and move to the next until you are finished.

Move ahead and never be afraid to achieve success.  There are no tradeoffs, just a stronger, more positive, more aggressive and more complete “you” will emerge.  Success flows and you never have to trade off success in one aspect for another.  Move on and live that life the way you want it to be!

Attitudes Defined

Attitudes are the established ways of responding to people and situations that we have learned, based on the beliefs, values and assumptions we hold. Attitudes become manifest through your behavior.

Attitude Drives Behavior

Attitudes drive behavior. Your body language is a result of your mental attitude. By choosing your attitude you get in that mood and send out a message that everyone understands, consciously or unconsciously.

"Almost always, you have a choice as to what attitude to adopt. There is nothing in any normal work situation that dictates you must react one way or another. If you feel angry about something that happens, for instance, that's how you choose to feel. Nothing in the event itself makes it absolutely necessary for you to feel that way. It is your choice. And since you do have a choice, most of the time you'll be better off if you choose to react in a positive rather than a negative way."

The 5 Key Areas Of Business And Why You Must Focus On Them And Develop Each One Of Them At Once PDF Print E-mail
[Internet-and-Businesses-Online:Internet-Marketing] This article lays out his '5 Key Areas Of Business And Why You Must Focus On Them And Develop Each One Of Them At Once' if you want to achieve any level of success whatsoever in the 21st Century.
You are about to learn what the key note speaker from an exclusive seminar shared with the group that allowed him to go from $0 dollars online to $20,000,000.00 online in just under 6 years. And the interesting part is, it's really rather simple. Most of us just miss it.

So here they are...

The 5 Key Areas Of Business And Why You Must Focus On Them And Develop Each One Of Them At Once:

1) You: "You are your highest leverage." You call the shots and you get to decide how big or how small you want to be. You control your state of mind. The size of your box is only limited by you. You must constantly be developing yourself and your skills. "To become a person who attracts, keeps, and develops great people, you must first develop yourself in many ways."

Right to the point and right on.

2) Your Market: "Narrow your focus in the face of increasing opportunity." I thought this was interesting: "Develop the skill of overlooking opportunity." Hmmm...Contrary to popular belief. But, popular belief has never really won out when you think about it. Leaders don't follow the herd. They create the herd.

Simply put: stop entertaining every idea that comes your way and jumping from the next great sounding idea to the next. Stop being a 'jack of all trades' and a 'master of none.' The masters win out. Stop trying to be all things to all people. It's a rookie mindset. Commit and focus. And never lose focus or you lose. Period.

Put the blinders on. Pick a direction and run with it like there is no tomorrow. THIS is where the big success starts to show up.

Do you think this guy was entertaining other home business opportunities while he was building his multi-million dollar empire early on? Of course not. He knew where he was going and he successfully developed the skill of "overlooking opportunity" once he created his opportunity.

That couldn't have come at a more appropriate time than today as we are all over exposed and inundated with new information and new ideas.

3) Your Marketing: You must create "public consciousness" in your marketing efforts. Look for customers who are looking for you. "It's better to be first than it is to be better."

Hmmm...Market share?

Make sure there is pain and urgency in your message or an "irrational passion." This causes an emotional drive from your prospect or customer and we all know that people act on emotion instead of logic 9 out of 10 times if given the choice. Its human nature.

When it comes to creating names for you or your business, "create names that are impossible to forget, not easy to remember." Read that again.

Start giving away more for FREE. Don't keep your best ideas a secret. Share them. Give them away. Lose the scarcity mentality. Give to get. Give away the "what to do." Sell the "how to do it."

Genius. Yet so simple...

I was recently selected as a Certified Dan Kennedy Independent Business Advisor and Dan Kennedy says the most powerful word in the English language is...You guessed it: FREE.

As a matter of fact the #1 tool now being used by Dan Kennedy's multi-million dollar marketing firm to introduce new customers to their marketing strategies is: "The Most Incredible FREE Gift Ever." This marketing strategy has generated millions of dollars in revenue for them.

4) Your People: When you start bringing people into your business to assist you with your growth (and this better be in your plans or you are not planning for success) make sure they are "Drivers."

I love this term. Drivers are people who focus on results not work. Big difference. A Driver has a sense of personal responsibility. In my world I call this "taking ownership" or what he says: "Taking ownership of the result." Even better. A driver is persistent and determined. A Driver does not need to be told what to do.

This is why he only hires Virtual Assistants in his multi-million dollar enterprise. Because he can give them ownership. He can pick out the stars and he has no obligation to them. He does not pay them a salary. He does not pay their benefits. They are independent contractors. VA's are not employees and they tend not to view their projects in terms of work but in terms of results (at least the good ones will).

VA's are becoming the secret of the wealthy in the internet marketing world these days and the growth of this industry has been staggering as of late. Personally I have 3 VA's working with me in my home business. I couldn't function at a high level without them.

This speaker now has 80 full time VA's around the world.

5) Your Systems: Three words here: Automate, automate, and automate. "Automate the repetitive tasks and outsource the more complex projects."

BUT, and this is a big BUT: never outsource your copywriting or core marketing projects. This is your baby and no one knows your business like you do. Those of you who know me personally or are coached and mentored by me know that I feel pretty strongly about that last point and you should too.

Writing your own sales copy and your own ads whether it be emails, web site capture pages, or small sponsor ads is your most valuable skill and will allow you to be you in your advertising efforts.

So there you have it from one of the top (if not the top) internet marketers of our time. Bold statement, I know.

Notice how often the word "Your" was used in his overview. Is there a theme developing here?

Everything is in YOUR control my friend. YOU are your most important asset.

Get a handle on the above 5 key areas. Read it again. Print it. Study it. Understand it. Focus. And work on you.

Setting Goals Is Only Half The Battle To Achieving Your Dreams In Your Home Business PDF Print E-mail

[Home-Based-Business] Setting goals is critical to success as a home business owner and entrepreneur but contrary to popular belief, it's really only half true and half the battle. This article explores the other half in detail and will no doubt be the difference maker in successfully setting and achieving goals.

We hear it all the time...

You must set goals in order to be successful in your own business. Its the secret of the wealthy. Its the difference between modest success and explosive success, etc.

Do you agree? I'm here to tell you it's only half true...

Setting goals and writing them down is one thing. Anyone can do that and many people do. But most never, ever achieve their goals.

I'll tell you exactly why shortly but first you must know this:

Despite your best efforts, you will never achieve the success you are looking for if you never actually set goals for yourself and your business in the first place. Let's at least agree on that.

Ask yourself, "What goals have I written down for myself and my business?"

Most people never set goals for themselves or their business at all. One day leads to another and the days continue to disappear without success.

How can you get to where you want to go if you don't know where you're going?

The biggest roadblock to goal setting is YOU. Setting goals requires you to actually write down your dreams and put a date of accomplishment on them.

Do not get in the habit of working your business without goals. This leads to apathy and an empty checking account.

Goals are the lifeblood of your business. Written goals that is. Statistics have shown over and over that small businesses fail within the first five years. You do not want to become a statistic; you want to become a success.

So how do you become successful at setting goals?

The first step, obviously, is to write down your intentions or exactly what you want to achieve. What intentions do you have for your life and your business? Write them down. When would you like to achieve them by? Put a date of accomplishment on your goals.

Get a pad of paper and start writing NOW. Be bold and write them all down. Your intentions are now your goals.

Think BIG! You must be clear...

You now have goals with deadlines. Your first step is accomplished but this is only half of the battle. Now comes the tricky part. Gut check time...

Do you feel as though you can achieve your goals? Do you actually believe you can achieve your goals?

Ahhhh, the look I see you giving your computer screen right now could melt ice. "Of course I believe I can achieve my goals" you say. "Why else would I have written them down?"

Well, writing them down is all fine and good but if don't actually believe deep down that you can achieve your goals, then they are meaningless. And THAT is why most never achieve their goals with their business endeavors.

If you do not believe you can achieve your goals...You can't.

You say you can. You wrote them down. But, if you do not truly feel you can achieve your goals with absolute certainty...You won't. You must be crystal clear. Period.

Tough pill to swallow, I know. So how does one go about doing this?

This is where your mindset comes in to play - the other half of the battle.

Let's take this whole goal setting process just one step further now. Pay close attention here...

In your mind, see the goals you wrote down as already accomplished. What does it look like when it has been completed? You've nailed it. How does it make you feel? How has your life changed?

Go to that place right now (the outcome) and WRITE DOWN that part in addition to the goals you want to achieve. Get into the state of mind as having already achieved the goal instead of always wishing or hoping for it like everyone else does.

Assume the feeling of the outcome. Stay in that state of mind as often as possible. Once you actually feel the outcome you will then, and only then, be able to attract the goals that you wrote down.

This is a fundamental principal that has stood the test of time. DO NOT take it lightly.

So, it's really a two step process, yes?

"What you hold in your mind with energy and focus will tend to be created in your reality."

Read that again.

Remember, success doesn't happen to the uninvolved. Success happens to those who are not only persistent in reaching their goals, but to those who make a decision to reach their goals, get clear on what they want, and already feel themselves victorious in the so called goal setting battle...

A bit deep, I know...But without question, the difference maker.

You should never be without goals. Keep your intentions and your goals before you. Be clear, feel the outcome, and stay focused on the end result.

Take action.
